Starting off as reigniting my 8 year old self’s love for pearl jewelry making (iconic, I know), in 2019 I began making jewelry for myself and my friends. What started off as a side passion project, turned into a pandemic business. Between 2020 and 2024 I developed the UHM brand. Between building an e-commerce site, maintaining an Etsy and socials page, holding 5 pop ups, designing packaging and pieces, shipping and customer service, I got a bit of every piece of the pie.
It was beautiful, rewarding, and brought me some of my fondest memories. I got to shoot with friends, collaborate with some of my favorite brands (hi, CHUNKS! Madii Danii!), but seeing people wear my pieces as part of their everyday was truly the best part.
RIP UHM, but HMU if you ever still want a piece :)
